Celena Marshall – Teacher

Certified Bala Vinyasa Yoga Teacher

Celena Marshall was introduced to yoga by her mom in 1990. Yoga became very inspirational and grounding as well as a creative outlet. As a competitive runner, yoga allows her body to stay healthy, flexible and strong as she continues to compete in many annual runs.

With her love for the breath and anatomy, Celena brings an in-depth understanding of the body, both intuitively and intellectually. Celena graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art and Graphic Design from Florida Atlantic University, has worked as a graphic artist and marketing director for over 8 years in addition to teaching yoga for the past 6 years. During her earliest years of practice she studied restorative yoga as well as pranayama, breath work. Later, she became more interested in the anatomy of the postures and how the body moves from one pose to the next. She loves to combine yoga with her passion for running. Celena became certified in 2002, completed 200 hours and is a member of Yoga Alliance.

In 2002, Celena began teaching in Clearwater, FL and three years ago moved to Southwest FL. Celena’s style of teaching is creative, dynamic, invigorating, empowering, and infused with music, breath, and laughter. Her approach of body awareness and alignment prevents injuries and allows students to dive deeply into themselves. Celena sees pranayama as the process for opening up the many energy channels that run throughout the body during asana (posture) practice. From this view, Celena’s classes are challenging yet replenishing, deep yet light-hearted, and innovative while also honoring the traditional roots of yoga.
